Registrar's Circulars: 2004
The office of the Registrar of Pension and Provident Funds issued the following circulars in 2004:
No. 1 of 2004 (dated 1 January 2004)
Increase in the full commutation ceiling
This was increased from Z$60,000 per annum to Z$180,000 with effect from 1 January 2004. (This change will in due course be gazetted as an amendment to the Pension & Provident Funds Regulations).
Comment: This change is merely a routine measure, adjusting, inadequately, a monetary limit to allow for inflation.
No. 2 of 2004 (undated but received 28th January 2004)
This Circular increases the limit below which preserved amounts may be cashed to Z$100000.
Comment: Again, this is routine measure adjusting for inflation.
